Everythings coming up roses...

We have had so much rain the last 8 days and they say it will continue through the 4th of July! YUCK!
But, it gives me great opportunities for flowers blooming, mushrooms sprouting, and tons and tons of rain drops! hehe

'Cuz thats how I roll........

So, I am always trying to find ways to stand out in a crowd! And I have a new obsession about my camera equipment being very stylish!
Thank goodness, TONS of other people are thinking the same thing!
Jessica Claire, a SUPER talented photographer, has come up with the Shootsack, a totally awesome camera bag that is not only functional, but SUPER CUTE! I love them! I am already on the waiting list for one! Feel like black and white today, and yellow polka dots tomorrow....no problem! They have slipcovers for the front flap in tons of colors, patterns, and textures! At $179 they are SUCH a deal to be stylish and creative!
To learn more about the Shootsack, you can visit their website or their blog here.

My next discovery is these mega cute camera straps by Gabi of MyFunkyCamera.com.
These straps come in a wide variety of fabrics, so that you can have one that suits your taste....hmmm...I wonder if I can get one to match my shootsack? hehe

Be sure to check out both of these ladies awesome camera accessories! I know I cant leave home without them!

There's No Business like Show Business!

So I have always wanted to see my name in the lights, but I never thought to look for it all around town!
A few of my friends pointed me in the direction of Spell with Flickr, a new feature that lets you spell your name out with regular objects and signs from all over! Go ahead...try it for yourself! :)

"What? This old thing............"

As you may have noticed...the blog has a new look!
I have been working very diligently over the last few days to get this beautiful new blog up and running! I hope you all enjoy it!
Feel free to leave me a comment! :)

On the Go...SPC Week 4

SPC Challenge Environment Week 4: On the Go...

So I'm not really "on the go" in this photo lol, but I feel like I am ALWAYS in my car!
This isn't my car BTW, it my step-dads, but mine was with him for the day! What can ya do?

So like I was saying, I am on the go all the time. I am either in my car driving my daughter to school and back, going to birthday parties, photo shoots, the fabric store, grocery store, Home Depot, etc. It never stops! So I thought being in front of the car this week was very appropriate!

If you want to get in on the SPC Challenges, you can do so by clicking HERE!

My big Doggy-Dog

So, I am convinced that I own the biggest golden retriever EVER! I swear he weighs over 250lbs! He could knock me over with one paw! But we love him anyway.....

It rained all day today, and durring the quick little time frame where it wasnt raining, I went out to snap some photos for another project I am working on, but, while I was working my Dog, Koda, followed me around as if he was saying, "Take MY picture!" lol So I did!

Hope you like them as much as I do! ;)

Its not always about pictures.....

When I started my other blog I always said I would talk about my life, but I usually get so focused on my photography, I forget to share things about ME!

So, today I decided to talk about some of my fave TV shows...and guess what? They are all connected!!! Strange huh?!

1.) Hells Kitchen! I LOVE this show! I have watched all of the seasons! Why am I so obsessed with a mean Chef yelling at people when they cant get simple dishes like Risotto right? Well, that's because I used to be a Chef!
I have a Culinary Degree to prove it! lol

After a few years of being a Private chef, I left the culinary world to focus on my family and my photography work!

So why am I talking about Hells Kitchen? Well......
Did you see it this week?! GROSS!! People cooking rancid crab...and spaghetti from the trash?! But I have to admit, I have seen WAY more nasty stuff in kitchens I have worked in than that, so I guess I will let those slide! lol
Speaking of Crab.................
I LOVE watching the Deadliest Catch! This is on of my permanent shows on my DVR! I just love it! I also LOVE crab, so it goes hand in hand! Not to mention that Blake that captain's the Maverick during King Crab season is not too bad on they eyes!! ;) (No, thats not him up there...this is Edgar Hansen of the Northwestern)
you Can View Blake here: He is the one in the Green Shirt!

And on the topic of spaghetti, even though I dont think her's will EVER come from the trash.... Giada Delaurentis is my FAVE TV Chef! When it comes to Italian Food, she knows her stuff! I wish I got compared to her more often! I usually get compared to Rachel Ray! hehe

If you want to watch her, you can see her on her show, "Everyday Italian" on the Food Network!
Well, thats it for me tonight! Im off to watch some TV! lol

Self Portrait Challenge: Addiction..........

SPC Challenge, week 3:
"Addiction"

Ok, so I missed week 2 darnit! But....I come baring eye candy for all of the ladies! This is just a TINY pinch of my purse collection, and the reason this qualifies as "environment", is because I am ALWAYS crazy about my bags! I check out women's bags everywhere I go, I will go spend the afternoon at Nordstrom or Macy's just drooling over bags! They have become my environment! hehe

No.....we're not in Texas!

So the other day, I'm taking photos with the Lovely Ms.G and her husband, and in come some un-expected visitors! lol

We just couldn't resist getting photos of these little guys! I told her that when I show them to people, there would be no mistaking that we are in Texas! lol
Just one of the obstacles of working in Texas! hehe

Bump in the Road

Last month I had a wonderful client, Ms.C, that is just beautiful at 7 months pregnant! Well, she sent me to her Friend Ms.K, that sent me to her friends Ms.A and Ms.G! It was a VERY busy month for maternity photo shoots!

So I thought, instead of transferring all of those photos, I would just put some of my faves together in a slide show for your enjoyment!

Enjoy!

A View of the Country

So I went with my family to a small town in here in Texas called Trinity a few weeks ago.
The road trip was just beautiful, I just played around with my settings and took some random pictures. I was blown away when I came home! I just couldn't believe all the wonderful images I captured! Sometimes I'm just in awe over the beautiful of the world that God has given us!

I hope you enjoy my view of the Country!
